The Durvet Liquid Wormer is a great product for removing roundworms in dogs as well as hookworms in dogs. Worms in dogs can be very frustrating, but this dog wormer is very easy to use. With it's butterscotch taste, most dogs will simply lap up the liquid dog wormer as a treat. However, it can also be mixed with food if necessary. The product can be used as a puppy wormer and reccommended that puppies be treated at 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 weeks of age. The dog wormer is also reccommended to be given to lactating females 2-3 weeks after whelping. The active ingredient is pyrantel pamoate with 2.27 mg per ml. The dosage is 5 ml per 5 pounds of body weight. This dog wormer is comparable to Nemex but much less expensive. Each 2 oz container (60 ml) will treat a total of 60 pounds.
